A water pipe rupture above the cafeteria at Penn Manor High School Wednesday morning briefly disrupted lunch service. At approximately 11:45 a.m., workers were completing demolition in an area above the cafeteria when a pipe broke, causing water to enter the cafeteria while students were eating the first lunch, which was briefly disrupted.
The water has been shut off, and cleanup efforts are underway. After a delay, the second and third lunches were served to students. The rupture is not impacting the rest of the building. Slight modifications have been made to the schedule for the remainder of the school day.
