About 300 Penn Manor Comet Classic cardholders turned out for “Dinner and a Show” at Penn Manor High School Thursday night.

The annual event treats senior citizens to a family-style dinner of chicken pot pie and a showing of the fall play — “The Plot, Like Gravy, Thickens.”

A dozen high school students helped greet, seat and serve the guests, who were entertained by the Manor Singers and Penn Manor High School Jazz Band during dinner.

“Dinner and a Show” is Penn Manor’s way of thanking Comet Classic cardholders for their support of district schools and students.

All cardholders are entitled to free admission to Penn Manor regular-season home athletic events and to select high school plays and musical productions. Cardholders also receive newsletters during the school year highlighting upcoming events.

The program is open to district residents age 60 or older.

To apply for a Comet Classic Card, visit the district office next to Manor Middle School with a driver’s license to prove your age and residency in Penn Manor School District.

You may also send a photocopy of your license to the district office in an envelope marked “Comet Classic,” P.O. Box 1001, Millersville PA 17551.

Thanks to everyone who participates in this program!
