The Penn Manor boys’ volleyball team is headed for its first-ever state title match this weekend against a very familiar foe — Hempfield.

The Comets advanced to the final by beating Penn-Trafford, 3-1, Wednesday in the PIAA Class AAA semifinal match.

The title match, scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at Penn State University, will be the fifth time this year perennial rivals Hempfield and Penn Manor have played. The most recent match ended with a victory for Penn Manor, which clinched the Lancaster-Lebanon League title.

FREE bus transportation is being provided to the match.

The bus will depart from the Penn Manor High School Central Complex (main gym) area. Fans should arrive between 9:15 and 9:45 a.m. on Saturday for a 9:45 a.m. bus departure.

Please RSVP your bus seats by sending an email listing the number of fans in your group to Alan Raush, PM Boys’ Volleyball Booster Club President, at raush@comcast.net to enable us to ensure a sufficient number of buses are provided.

Also, a celebration with pizza and drinks is planned at the Central Complex for the players and fans upon the bus return at approximately 6 to 7 p.m. Saturday.

Thank you, Mike Kramer, for providing the bus!

GO COMETS!!
