The artwork of Hambright Elementary and Penn Manor High School students will be featured in the upcoming “Holiday Trees Galore” exhibit at Lancaster Museum of Art.

At Hambright, fourth-graders in Heather Wigerman’s art class made “candy cone” ornaments for the show, which opens November 20 and runs through the holidays. The students painted colorful patterns and added unique embellishments to each of the cone-shaped ornaments, which hold candy – in keeping with the theme of the exhibit, “Willy Wonka Wonderland.”

At the high school, English as a Second Language students made ornaments featuring folded-paper designs. The students are from Nepal, the Dominican Republic, Egypt, Puerto Rico and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

All the students and their families are invited to attend the opening of “Trees Galore” from noon to 4 p.m. November 20 at the museum, located at 135 N. Lime Street, Lancaster.

Congratulations to these budding artists!
