Update on potential weather-related closings next week

There is the possibility of a major snow event beginning this weekend and continuing into Monday and Tuesday. It is still early, and the forecast is not definite.

Penn Manor has committed to using built-in snow days prior to using the new flexible instructional days (i.e., FIDs or “cyber snow days”) approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

If school is closed on Monday, February 1, the district will declare a traditional snow day, meaning no classes for anyone that day. If that were to occur, Thursday, April 1, would be used as a weather make-up day, and school would be in session on that date.

If our schools are closed again on Tuesday, February 2, or during any future weather event next week, Penn Manor will use flexible instructional days and hold classes under a full remote format.

Those schedules are available here:
Elementary Remote Schedule
Secondary Remote Schedule

The school district will be closely following weather forecasts and will provide more detailed information to students and families in advance of any potential schedule changes next week.

Please stay warm, and check back for updates!
